Your Voice Matters

We work with local voluntary and community sector (VCS) groups to ensure that the local sector has a strong voice and is effectively represented to a range of strategic policy makers including North Somerset Council, NHS North Somerset and the North Somerset Strategic Partnership (NSP).

Currently, VANS Chief Executive Officer chairs both the Voluntary Sector Forum and the Voluntary Sector Steering Group with a remit to ensure that the local VCS has a forum to debate issues and developments that impact on the sector and a means of communicating their opinions and concerns to the above statutory agencies and partnerships.

In addition, VANS is represented on the Health and Well Being Forum which brings together local voluntary and community groups, the North Somerset Primary Care Trust and the North Somerset Health and Well Being Delivery Partnership to discuss health related issues and topics that affect the communities and individuals of the county.
