Wellbeing Collective
A Coalition of the willing who all share the common goal of improving wellbeing and health in North Somerset.
-
We strive to achieve systematic change and lasting collaboration by linking housing, health, the Voluntary, Community, Faith, and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) sector, local government, and people to achieve empowered, healthier, and happier communities.
By focusing on the knowledge, skills, and experience of the Collective we can support health and social care ‘commissioners’ and ‘providers’ in identifying where gaps / hot spots in services exist, and suggest changes to improve access to information, advice, and support for people, in line with the ‘what matters to me’ ethos. This approach affects positive change.
The Collective membership offers a unique opportunity to bring the expertise and voice of the local VCFSE sector together with the NHS, North Somerset Council, and other relevant stakeholders, in a way that recognises and equally values their differing positions and responsibilities.
-
Our membership comprises individuals who work or live in North Somerset and want to help improve people's wellbeing and health.
-
We have 6 Board members, approximately 50 people on our steering group, and over 150 Friends of the Wellbeing Collective.
We aim to meet six times a year as a Steering Group and to arrange two campfires or gatherings each year. 13 people attended our Campfire in September 2025.
-
We are planning our 7th Campfire on Tuesday, 21st April, from 9.45 am – 2 pm.
We will be returning to our Campfire roots at Brown Rock – Upper Roundhouse. Soup made from the vegetables and herbs grown on site will be provided for lunch.
