A lifeline for people across North Somerset

For many people across North Somerset, community transport is a lifeline, getting them to medical appointments, shops, social activities and the people who matter.

But these services rely on volunteers of all kinds to keep running.

It's flexible. You choose how much time you give.

Your time could help someone get to an appointment, stay connected and feel less isolated, while giving you the chance to meet people and discover more about your local community.

Now we need more people to get involved. Our campaign runs until April 2027.

What is community transport?

Community transport schemes are usually local, charitable or not-for-profit transport services, run by local people for others who can't drive or find public transport difficult because of age, disability or limited transport options.

Schemes vary, from volunteer car services to accessible minibuses and dial-a-ride.
